Blog – 27/11/12

Not a great start to the week…

Although Monday morning was productive, during the day had given me confirmation in what must be done… At first when I came back from holiday, I ignored all the signs but yesterday was the clear cut visual. This just cannot continue this way! I’m DONE!
Unfortunately, I cannot mention here what exactly it is that brings frustration to me but in due time, I will.

So moving onto a less depressing subject (to me anyway)…

Last night, from having a heck of a good meal at Mcdz, I had a small talk with Lyndsey and Sean… It was nonetheless a good night. Talks and a few good laughs… However, I only wanted to come out for a bit and then head off home…

So finishing up here, Lyndsey and I had a good talk from London Bridge all the way to her house. Wasn’t much but was definitely worth cherishing as we barely do it nowadays…

Upon successfully taking her to her house, I jumped on the bus and saw a miss call from Kimzii. Called back and had a nice conversation; from Lyndsey’s house all the way to my house. Again, it’s nice to always cherish these little talks. She’s always laughing so that much makes me smile. People who laugh about the randomness is the source to making me smile. It’s one of the things that makes this world still have some good…

Coming home, I just turned on my computer and continued the conversation through Skype with Kimzii. We spoke a bit and then the rest of the night, she played several songs and giving it her all by singing and dancing. Funny how these people have this energy after a long day of work… I give her credit for that!

I was clashed with a Skype call with Lyndsey so with that note, I said my bye to Kimzii and switched over to another hyper girl! Geez! How do these girls do it?! There I am all knackered and these two just hyping all day!

So on the call to lynds, we spoke bits and bobs and was very nice to catch up. We act stupid as always. Nothing changed there :)…

To top it all off, I finished some code with sorting data when a certain command is inputted into the URL… So that’s all good. Next is probably to put it live and then setup a CRON job. Lets see…

“Don’t just sit there… Do something about it!”

Pure development in all angles!

Sunday evening to Monday morning… Pure development!
Throughout the whole of last week, I did not blog at all. Been lazy and putting gaming into priority only because depression clouded my thoughts. Mostly due to the one person who bought me to where I am today…
Keeping my mind occupied from all the depressing thoughts, I cover it with development, gaming or out with the friends… Being at home only makes me think deeper… Missed the simple life I once lived. Now it’s all so complicated! At first, I thought that being apart was the hardest thing I had to do. But when time passed, it’s fairly simple… Prioritise myself! Saying this, I think I am ready to move on…
Taking this leap forward, web development has been progressing fairly slow last week. In fact, I’ve only stared at code but no typing. I suppose I needed this time out from coding to reorganise my thoughts.
So starting PHP coding, I’ve started displaying JSON data onto a page for John. I collected a bunch of RSS feeds and stored it into my database as URLs. From there, all I did was use a while loop to read through the database and generate a feed!

$rss = simplexml_load_file($url);

With this piece of code, it was embedded with PHP5 which made things twice as easy to just extract the RSS and store it into my database in its respective attributes!
There were problems when it came to the dates since each RSS feed had shown a different format for each node which meant that I had to convert the date to be the same as what MySQL accepts for it to be treated as a date and time… And all I did was use:

strtotime($item->pubDate);

This basically converts my date string to a series of numbers where it specifies a Linux timestamp. It is the number of seconds since the date January 1st 1970 00:00:00 UTC. Having this timestamp, all needs to be done is:

$published_on = date(“Y-m-d H:i:s”, strtotime($item->pubDate)); //returns “2012-11-26 23:01:00”

And voila! We have the time and date ready to be stored into the database!
Correctly doing this, what I plan to do next is to sort my JSON data by name and date (ascending or descending order). To command it, all John must do is type the URL with a variable at the end… Something like:

http://localhost/feed/?sortby=date

That should do the trick!
As for the update of data, I would like the RSS feed to inject the information into the database every 30 minutes. That way, each client doesn’t piss the database off causing it to crash! I’ll also work on this in parallel to the order on demand URL task…
When all is done, I can finally throw it on our domain for a test run! Hopefully there will be no problems. I’m guessing the only trouble I will bump into is probably the CRON job. Will I need to pay more for it? Lets see…
Well, coming to an end on this post, I’ll have to summarise it in a few sentences…
This post was mainly a log upon what I’ve done for my personal project and less about how I am feeling or what I’ve been doing for a while. What can I say? I’ve been busy trying to do a lot in my life and overflowing with thoughts in regards to my past but like I said in one of my posts before, it will come back to disturb me but I think last week was the killer! I spent the whole of the 7 days just thinking about it… Is it loneliness? Could it be that I am that weak? One thing is for certain, I will try to accomplish what I set off to do in the first place…Just do my projects and be on the lookout for that person…
Until then… There is always tomorrow… Quoted by Lyndsey (26/11/2012 at 23:49pm)

A good day for social…

A good day for social… Less in gaming… But still played!

SOCIAL / GAMING

After work, I headed out to Piccadilly Circus to see Karjun last night to have a night out… I kind of needed this break since I’ve been coding on projects or playing games… Pressing buttons all day long may just make me go crazy!

Before I met him, I jumped into HMV, to purchase one thing but ended up buying 3 products! So what I supposed to buy was the Die Hard quadrilogy which was only £12! But as I was waiting for Karjun to come, I browsed a bit more and saw the Johnny English set… Both films for £8? Picked it up immediately! Then I shifted to the gaming section and had a look at what was available there. Turns out, John has been raving about a game called Deus Ex and it was going off for £15! I picked it up and rushed to the counter otherwise I’ll be buying the whole store! Earlier at lunch, I also went to Game to buy a mic for PS3 so that I can play Black ops 2 online with a few mates! Bought that for £12.99…

I started to wonder about in Trocadero bringing back a whole load of memories. This place had changed so much! It was years when this place was once a lively place… Full of people… Now it is always deserted…

Karj came and we started walking towards Leicester Square and coincidentally, we step into the Twilight Premiere! As usual, full of people and squirming around like worms, we couldn’t get to the restaurant we planned to go to so we settled with a Chinese restaurant in China Town… From there back to Cafe Sol in Greenwich, we spoke about our secondary school naming from friends that we knew to teachers! It’s amazing how we can talk about something that feels like almost a lifetime ago!
Remembering barely any names of the teachers and Karjun knowing all the names, we had one drink and went back into the car and spoke more about it, we ended the night with talking about where he works. Long story short, I’m sold!! Sign me up!

Leaving his car to my house, I immediately fired up my Xbox playing you know what! Played 2 games of multiplayer of team deathmatch! Changing my guns, I managed to play twice as better than yesterday! Now I feel like I want to get home to play more! Addicted much??

Finishing these two sensational games, I see Lyndsey calling me a muppet on Skype! Geez!

Since her and I haven’t spoken in a while, I thought I may as well give her a call to see how she is. She seemed rather happy and smiling making me want to be silly to make her smile more! She’s been sad lately and I do hope she feels better… All I want is for my friends to be happy! It’s been a journey her and I have been through but with the silliness and talks we have, all we have remaining is smiles and laughter. Lets maintain this Lyndsey! 🙂

Ending this call, I jumped into bed falling asleep incredibly fast at a time of 1.30ish!

TECHNICAL LOG

This morning, I spent a little more time overlooking and adding more to my database. Turns out, I’ve incremented an extra 2 tables so that the data storage can be healthy. So I will be adding to MySQL tonight but write it out in a notepad first…

Every time when I say that I will be developing in PHP, it turns out I find a hole in my database design. Maybe I am rushing it but I think I need to sit and plan a little longer before I can start implementing hardcore.

My mornings are so productive! I think so clearly the code just comes to me. When I get home from work, I tend to laze about. But when it is piss easy work, I can do it in the evening. Stuff that requires thinking power, I wait until the morning as my mind is focused at that time of the day!

SUMMARY

So to summarise, interacting again with the world is a great idea instead of always being immersed with gaming. I follow my passion but keeping a close eye on reality too so don’t get me wrong when I say I’m a gamer… I’m also a social person too… I believe so anyway… Hopefully my friends can vouch for that.

My technical log seems to be getting smaller only because I use 30 minutes of my day to get as much done as possible… It will get longer when I start developing through PHP. But like I said, I always seem to find a hole in my database design so until that is fine, I can move onto phase 2: hardcore programming!

Programming and gaming… What more can you ask for?

Ah yes! You know what I’m gona talk about…

So… COD: Black Ops 2! I sat playing this game from 9ish to 12am! Playing a good game with Tim over the mic… This game does follow the predecessor but I guess I never gave it a chance since I was so in love with Battlefield 3… There is a particular reason as to why I choose to play each game separately…

Battlefield 3 more or less have the same elements but the controls such as running forever and never getting tired or jumping over cars or walls just looks so realistic! Also, the maps are huge and gives you the ability to drive vehicles around to get to your destination quicker is just the icing on the cake!

With COD games, it consists of areas where the maps are small and tight spacing so the game is fast paced and although you get killed in an instant, all you need to know is a bit of strategic thinking before running into it. At first, I thought the tight spaces were a problem but with the right gun and the right accessories, you’ll be on top of the scoreboard in no time…

So there are my two differences in the game so I will never throw one game out as both have their particular values…

As of now, my mood is dead set on COD for now and need to level up!! I’m on level 10 currently! AWESOME!

I’ve said my bit about gaming… Back to reality…

TECHNICAL LOG

I spent this morning working on the database and as it turns out, I was doing everything right but I just forgot to turn on the server because every time I shut down my machine, the XAMPP server turns off unless I manually turn it back on… So I added my tables but had no time to do any PHP coding.

I also added another two tables meaning altogether I have 8. Maybe I should start normalising it now… Hmmmm…

I also am thinking about developing my own site gathering my projects and to feed my blog posts through it… Another way to read my posts right??

SUMMARY

Keeping these blog posts are pretty nice and it makes me feel good every time I post… It’s surprising that people read it so thanks for the support…

I hope you guys enjoy my content…

But as a summary, these games, my projects and work are the elements where they keep my mind off the main thought I want to avoid…… for now…

Happy Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 day!!

Happy Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 day!!

TECHNICAL LOG

I spent this morning by picking up my pen and pad to draw out my design for the database.

Firstly, I had to think of the entities required for the project to know what tables to enter. I have 6 tables.

With the relations decided, I needed to write up the tuples in each table indicating the type of content to be stored (a data dictionary). Also, if this gets revealed, that just means I can simply link the relationships with each other but mistakes can happen during development so I call this ‘Design One’.

Since I recently switched over from Windows operating system to a Mac OSX Mount Lion, I had several issues to install the WAMP server onto this operating system so I ended up settling with XAMPP which isn’t much of a difference.
Being on this platform, I have some troubles connecting to the integrated MySQL database but thinking about it now, instead of connecting over the terminal, I can just establish the connection by just navigating to the XAMPP and double clicking on MySQL file! Lets see… I only spent 30 minutes designing and 5 minutes looking into using XAMPP so I’ll have a deeper look later or tomorrow.

FILMS

Last night, I tried to start my database design but couldn’t start as I was wiped out however, I did watch Jackie Chan’s Project A. I cannot watch this film unless it is the original dubbing from the VHS video tapes!
This is because it brings me back to the first time John and I picked it up at boot sale, the times when we were not earning money, dad giving us £1 to spend so we had to use it VERY wisely. John, as usual, always picked up the Jackie Chan videos and I always looked for the randomness crap!
The best quote that we use that was bought up in Aussie was:

Coast Guard 1: ‘Take a look at that chick over there!’
Coast Guard 2: ‘She has a real crazy figure’
Coast Guard 1: ‘I’d say she’s a 30…’

Makes me laugh every time! Never fails!

This unlocks many memories for me as I have been sharing a room with my brother for many years and I do miss these moments…

GAMING

Heading over to have lunch at Westfield, I bought myself the PS3 edition of COD: Black Ops 2 and hopefully when I get home, I should have received the delivered XBox version as well. The reason I’ve bought 2 is because one is simply for online purposes for friends who have PS3… But I will be playing the campaign on XBox since the controller is much better than the PS3 controller!

Lets see how this game turns out!

SUMMARY

Again, gaming and programming but no social stuff happening.

There have just been too much happening lately and I really want to play this newly released game! I will review tomorrow but right now, all I can say is… GAME ON!

Technical log, MiLi Review and Black Ops 2 TOMORROW!

TECHNICAL LOG

The plans for today was mainly my thoughts. I spoke to John again over Skype showing visuals of the proposed project. It looked like a very good start for a mock up. Made me think that I should start developing something as well.

Since I will be doing nothing but backend work, I will need to design the database model keeping it efficient to avoid breaking the server.

I’ve spent this Sunday just having the design in my head and whether there are any other tables I need to add before inserting into the database using MySQL. I’ll draw out the design onto paper tonight and see if I am missing anything…

Unfortunately I could not do any work tonight since I was helping Tim do some Java. I have not touched Java programming since university but it sure felt good to type some on this environment again. Makes me feel like I should open a project on this platform… Lets see…

That was too technical huh? I will end this blog with a review and a game…

MiLi Review

This gorgeous little gadget is a practical charger. It gives the user the ability to carry around this small object so that if ever your phone runs out of battery life, you can charge it with this. It runs on a chargeable battery giving the capability to charge this thing with a USB if the battery dies!

It supports iPhone, many android phones serving the microUSB, Blackberry and many other devices!

Paying £25 is the amount that came out from my finance but great investment…

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2

So the game is finally being released tomorrow! I made my order yesterday on http://www.shopto.net! The game should be delivered tomorrow so I will definitely book a gaming evening and write all about it!

I’ve tried this game in Sydney, Australia at the EB Expo but only the multiplayer experience.
Although I end up dying in this game due to the tight spaces, I’m sure I’ll do better campaign mode!

Looking forward to it!! 🙂

SUMMARY

There was so much tech, programming and game talk in this post and a expect a bit more tomorrow!

See you tomorrow! 🙂

The past 3 days were amazing!

Thursday 9th November 2012

Good night for social…

Work ended… And I have finally gone out to meet my friend, Kirsty.
Her birthday passed a while ago but I bought her a few gifts for it and usually, I am not one to buy gifts but I since she and I have gaming in common, I just knew what must be bought!! But I think I may have went overboard…

I made her wait since I finish later than her so I needed to rush out of work and be quick! Hate making people wait and yet I do it every time! Need to improve that some day…

I got out the underground and I receive a text indicating she will be waiting at HMV in Trocadero…

I jumped into HMV and as soon I walked in, I knew where she’d be standing without calling her. I marched straight to the gaming section and there she was, looking at the PS3 games!! Surprised? Not for me…

So we stood for a minute to decide where to eat and we decided China town… I was holding quite the big bag so when we got to the restaurant, I passed over the bag of goodies. She was over the moon when she saw her gifts!

It feels great to make someone smile the way she did! Awesome!

So after our meal, we sat and spoke for a while about games and stuff. Then we spoke about my change of lifestyle… And what she’s been up to and all. Great to just sit and talk… Although we did have quite a few disruptions from the waiter coming back and forth checking if we ate all our food… Nice guy… We tipped him in the end! And he tipped us back by giving us a chupa chups lollypop each!

We headed back to Charing Cross station and then we left it at that. She went home and I was standing in Charing Cross station realising that I need to catch a train to London Bridge because I was going to go meet Lyndsey…

LONDON BRIDGE

I got to London Bridge but I was 30 minutes early! So I thought I’d grab a coffee, sit on a random platform and relax.

During this waiting period, it did allow me to review on how things are going with my life. I can see that it is going very well and although it is a little hard to make decisions, I decided something but I will not announce it here… It’s just too global…

So she arrives but I made her play a game… I told her to find me at London Bridge but all she had to do was search on Platform 5… She lost as she only briefly looked around… So I had to stand up and reveal myself!
We had to meet Sean (her boyfriend) to drop off his gloves and scarf. So we met him briefly and we sat for a few minutes to talk for a bit and then he had to shoot off for the train… So there was just Lyndsey and I again… We just spoke for a while, walked towards her house and grabbed the bus.

Not a very long night but nonetheless was very nice to see Lyndsey again as it has been a while since I last saw her…

Friday 10th November 2012

Long night!

This night initiated with a drink with my colleagues. So we got to stand around downing a good 3 double JD and cokes… Or was it 4? Well, one way or another, I was heavily tipsy!

We spoke about business, we spoke about what we will be doing for Christmas… The night didn’t last for long but I was more or less done since Karjun and Lyndsey were just messaging me indicating that they are going to be at London Bridge soon. We all left the pub to catch the train back to where ever we came from…

Arriving at London Bridge, I was given a surprised welcome with Sean jumping me from the back while I was about to call Karjun thinking I was about to get mugged followed by Lyndsey just laughing her arse off.

Mmmmmmm… Fat…
Karjun came by car so we was looking for him parked up in a corner… So first thing we did was drive Sean home all the way in Croydon. After a whole episode of karaoke singing in the car, a few dance moves and shouting, we arrived at Sean’s house. Dropped him off and look what we decide to go eat… Mcdz!

We ate in, had 20 chicken nuggets, 2 Big Macs, a fillet of fish burger, 3 portions of fries and drinks… Oh and a mcflurry. Having munched down a load of this junk food, we spoke a bit about what was happening tomorrow and bringing back a few memories about how we used to be… Felt good to be the trio again…

After being all fattened up, Karjun drove me home and I just dived straight into bed…

Saturday 11th November 2012

An awesome night!

My morning began with firing up my Apple Mac Mini and talking on Skype with John talking about what we should do regarding an idea we had. We supposed to have this discussion on Friday but my night was hectic and there was no way I could have spoken about it. We had a good talk and have direction and now I need to just write it into a google document so we can update it in real-time.

We ended the conversation with what I will be doing later and I was saying how I will be going to a casino with Karjun to just drink and talk for a bit. Then it reminded John of a Simpsons episode and immediately made me click as well! This is the awesome synchronised minds my brothers and I have… As soon we remember something in our childhood, we have that same face where we know what we are about to say!

Ending this call, I had my lunch as well as watching a few other YouTube videos and then got ready to head out!

I caught the bus to Karjun’s house to just have a chat and play with his wooden dummy he purchased for his wing chun! Very cool stuff!

We spoke of how he is doing and what is up in life and it was great to have this chat again. Felt like a life time that we actually sat down to talk like this again. It’s always been a group thing but not just him and I chat so it was good…

Then we went to Catford Bridge to Mcdz. Don’t worry, we only had a coffee and a hot chocolate…….. And a few nuggets!
So we met up with Lyndsey and James (Lyndsey’s mate) and chilled out to talk. When Sean arrived, they had to drive over back to Lyndsey’s house to drop something off so Karjun and I waited back at the station. However, Lyndsey called to say that if the train comes, get on it to meet Kemi (another friend of Lyndsey’s that we’ve met before). So we caught the train to Charing Cross and went to Leicester Square!

Sitting in the cold and waiting for Kemi, Karjun and I spoke a lot more about what was going on tomorrow and other stuff regarding our lives but not long after, Kemi arrives and not long after that, the rest come over and completing the rest of the members of the group at Trocadero!

So we all marched to the Montagu Pyke to meet another 2 familiar faces; one being Vinh and the other Shane who I haven’t seen since the DDR / Pump it up phase!! Geez!

Since that pub was full, we ended up going to Pizza Hut. Vinh and Shane had already eaten so they left.

Pizza Hut was where we all had a good sit down and spoke properly knowing everyone a little better and had a good laugh. Having 3 large pizzas but fourth one untouched as we didn’t pay for it…

Later on, Karjun, Kemi and I separated to head to Empire casino whilst the others went to a masquerade club…

We drank a bit and watched a few people lose at blackjack and the roulette but we ended up jumping on a machine with a virtual interface imitating the roulette and won back quite a bit of money!! We split the money equally and then headed off home!

SUMMARY OF THE 3 DAYS

Amazing past 3 days. Experiencing something new and spending time with friends and colleagues is a delight.

These nights are worth spending and I don’t regret any of it because I always have a good night!

Thanks to all of you guys!

No regrets…. Just look forward….

Multitasking…

Another day…

It was a very crammed evening and felt all so rushed last night. There was a random call from Lyndsey, sending an invite for Battlefield 3 to Trish and trying to fit some development work all into one day!

SKYPE/PHONE CALL

I received a call at 8pm after my dinner from Lyndsey.
It feels like we haven’t had this kind of conversation for a while. I rather missed it…

We tried to Skype video chat but that did not work. It’s because she was on the O2 dongle stick picking data very slowly so we decided to keep it as a phone call instead…

We spoke like old times; not caring about the world, the randomness…
It wasn’t much though as I was trying to fit my development work into the mix so I was half talking, half coding which is not part of my wheel house. However, I made an exception since lately, I have been putting more effort into my production log and less socialising!

My friends are worried as I have been quiet for the past few days but I guess I have been distancing myself but not purposely… Surely they understand….

The call lasted until 10pm since I reached out to Trish and asked if Battlefield was still on… IT WAS! So my goodbyes came out, the press of the end call button happened, followed by the press of the power button on my Xbox and that’s my queue to talk about gaming!

GAMING

Trish and I have been putting off gaming for a while now. There were so many excuses such as ‘Xbox live expired and need to renew it’, or ‘my net is not working’ but not last night… It was the time to release stress into the 3D environment…

Unfortunately, the game was a little bit rubbish. This is all due to the mic issues! Trish was talking but then cut off mid-sentence… The teamwork would have been great but again, the voice was needed! We were not synchronised at all! This is how much we needed the connection to work!

The game lasted until approximately 11.45pm. That’s a short game as I would usually play longer than that!

I tried to stay up longer to do some development but my mind was firing blanks so I decided to call the night at 12pm…

DEVELOPMENT

In the morning hitting the computer at 7.30am to quickly cram some dev before heading to work.

I added some JQuery to do some fade in and out animation on several dividers regarding the header banner.

Since I only had 30 minutes or less, I achieved this goal but just one issue… It seems that one of the images are not being detected in the queue of images specified. Probably something easy but I’ll look more into it tonight…

SUMMARY

Gaming, social and development all in one day?! Geez!

I am completely wiped out as I type this blog post on the train to work… But it is better to do something productive than nothing. All I’ve been trying to do is spend each day and be proud of the way I use it and so far for the past week and a bit, I’ve been successfully doing just that!

I hope this flow does continue but I will try a little harder to keep in touch with my friends because at the end of the day, they did help me without them even noticing…

Please understand that I am not distancing myself from you guys… I’m just getting hold of reality again…

Nothing but pure development!

Now that was PRODUCTIVE!

DEVELOPMENT

It was just one of those nights where my fingers just felt like typing…

So I initialised upon Kimzii’s project by laying out the HTML and CSS of the website. I have forgotten how great it feels when I start off from a blank canvas. Lately, my work have been either editing/adapting to someone else’s HTML and CSS!
Now I have control and know where everything is rather than being clueless and spending hours looking for the right files…

Kimzii called me over Skype for a chat. It wasn’t much of a chat since I was so into typing out and concerned about keeping the code clean and tidy… We didn’t talk long but we did discuss more business.

By the end of this night, I made a quick layout; a logo box, navigation bar and the header banner. The reason why I am proud of it is because the code is so clean and I’d like to maintain this standard… I made it so optimised so that I can make an admin panel as well…

Tonight, I am looking forward to writing out more.

SUMMARY

Unfortunately, I did not have time to either play games or be social with my friends since it was a night of development.

It would have been half games, half development but Trish’s Internet was down so there was going to be Battlefield… I think I need this evening to be 30% development and 70% gaming in the virtual world of shooting other gamers!!

And now I hear I am all of a sudden going out to drink tonight!

Well, lets see how I feel later…

Will I be able to maintain this standard?

Family… Social… Development…

Appreciate my friends… They’ve kept me on my feet since that day…

FAMILY

So I get home planning to do some development or play some games but what really was waiting for me was a discussion about business with Tim. We spoke about many things but the highlights of it was the conversation about what’s available in the world today and what we should be building for tomorrow!

We’ve decided something that may change the communication patterns over the web.

Lets see where we get to on that one.

SKYPE (SOCIAL)

So there were 3 conversations that took place during the day.

Firstly, my brother (from Australia) John and I had a development talk regarding ideas we spoke about during my trip in Sydney and decided we will have a meeting over Skype on Friday and see what complications arise for this project.

My second conversation was with an old friend Kimzii, who happens to want a website template. We discussed what elements will be needed and the themes she likes. I’ll probably just mash up something that looks rubbish but so long the functionality works, it should be fine.
We also spoke about my progress towards what happened a few months back. She was the first person who gave me advice very early when the wound was wide open and now we speak of it again. As a good friend, she sat and listened to my words and responded what I should try and do (which I’ve done already) so now all I need is patience because now that I’ve told her what I need to, it’s up to her what to decide what she wants until she feels ready to talk again…
Then we went on to discuss Kimzii’s situations and oh dear me, my dilemma is nothing compared to hers; feels like I’m living in luxury!

My final conversation was with Lyndsey. We were talking about my last blog post and was feeling a little down but towards the end, she made me realise that although things look tough right now, she will be the friend to turn to no matter what the situation…

So from all the advice collected, thank you…

DEVELOPMENT

Have you had one of those days where you feel exhilaration when an epiphany kicks in?

This morning, I sat down at 7.30 with my croissant and coffee reading some articles written in Wikipedia about real-time data consistency, the need to acquire data from the database in the most efficient way.

I’ve been thinking too boxed in lately but when I revisited this issue, I had a solution and it definitely beat my last idea since each node kept connecting to the database resulting the server to crash every time.

All it is was to make a CRON job in the server and schedule to update the database every few minutes and the rest is all up to front-end development…

Lets put that into code shall we?

To be continued…

SUMMARY

Projects are flowing, my algorithmic mind is instigating… I’m finally getting somewhere. My motivation is running smoothly!

Friends and family is all I need for now and they are my priority! And I really do appreciate what I have in my life!

Diversion is not what I need… I need to move on
